Why You Think You Can't Draw
About the event
You probably think you can’t draw because it was trained out of you. Drawing is a vital form of self expression that was how your early educators marked your milestones. It may have been in kindergarten, grade four, high school… or any other time. So, let’s go back to preschool. What do you remember most? Crafts? Kids? Teachers? The trip there? Snack time? It all matters! And now, you have a chance today to re-experience preschool!Â
There’s a reason that young children love school. They get to play, experiment, sing, eat, dance, and make friends while they learn and socialize. Who wouldn’t love it? We will do all of these things in this class too… not joking. Prepare to laugh too
During this first class, you will learn how to use your wrist and elbow to draw basic shapes perfectly. Yes. Perfectly. There is a built-in physiology in the human hand to draw curves and lines that don’t require tools, expensive or otherwise. Let’s remove the obstacles built up around your success. You will learn to trust yourself like a wide-eyed preschooler with reckless abandon! We will use some basic drawing materials and learn which ones ‘get along’ and which ‘don’t play well with others’. I will also tell you what to look for when you are out shopping for your own supplies. There is much to learn. And yes! It’s going to be so much fun! Bring yourselves and your cheerful preschooler springy step with you!  You will see me on Sunday, April 5th!Â
This course is fun and free for all those who attend, all supplies are provided and are meant to assist those in either rediscovering their inner artist, naturally occurring creativity or to just increase the level of fun and whimsy that can be a part of your every living moment. You will get to draw, paint and build things in each class, so come prepared to embrace PLAY through art and art education. Â
