Welcome to my brand new page dedicated to you my online fans! I was inspired to jump into creating teaching videos when my Community art classes were cancelled due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Acrylic Hawaii is HERE!

Using acrylic paint you CAN paint this picture! You will need: a flat brush (1"or 1/2") a round brush a tiny round brush a can of water (( use dog food cans) 2 rags (one for spills, one for brushes:) a palette (this can be as simple as a chunk of cardboard)

Get your palette of acrylics ready! Cadmium yellow Napthol red or cadmium light Cadmium red Phthalo Green Phthalo Blue Titanium White REMEMBER: you will use a LOT of white and yellow- so have it ready

Feathery Fronds! Using a round brush and several shades and tints of green -- follow the idea that they are built like feathers. Tree shadow- a darker version of your chocolate brown is achieved with phthalo blue. Dull it down with white and add in your shadow Mountains: Darken your greens using phthalo blue and add in some shadows to the LEFT of and below your mountains. Dulled greens - watered down will create your mountain range shadow in the ocean. Done! Le Fin! Bravo!
