Singular Animal Portrait

Multiple Member Portraits

Remember how they made you feel. So loved, so cherished. They take up so much room in our hearts, that they deserve to be recognized properly. Their portrait will live on forever and will almost feel like they never left your side:)

THE BREAKDOWN:

  • A non-refundable down payment of $50 is required to start this process. One month notice is required to have the piece(s) completed.

My most favourite materials to work with are on suede mat, using coloured soft pastels. Pastels have a very long life time with zero fading. Other options will see in this and other galleries include graphite (pencil) charcoal. pencil crayon, watercolour and acrylic paint.

Multiple animal portraits are by far one of the most challenging projects I've worked on but I love a challenge!  The three horses you see here were created using four different pictures, all from differing distances. Here's a tip: The better the photos, the better for both of us!  Read below to see how you can get what you need.

Sheep River Forest Mural - 2022

Sheep River Forest Mural - 2022

This wall mural measures 280 square feet. 10 feet tall and 28 feet long... It was painted on a concrete wall with false brick sections at the Okotoks Arts & Learning Campus inside the AECON Early Learning Centre. Young children have been enjoying playing and learning there since it's completion in May 2022. If you are standing close to it - you can spot the names of the youth painters that were invited to help me paint in some of the animal elements.

Okotoks Cinemas NEW SEATS Fundraiser

Okotoks Cinemas NEW SEATS Fundraiser

February 2021 The local independent cinemas really needed a boost to get their new seat fundraiser going...so I approached their manager a number of times. They just didn't have the funds to pay for a promotion... So I offered to paint for popcorn! The funds are rolling in but they still need your support! Check out the link to see how you can help:)

Here you see the interior of the windows. Yes! I did in fact paint the words on backwards. It's an unusual skill that has finally come in handy! For this mural, I had some former art students participate to get it done before popcorn pick up started! This was a 6 hour day. Amber, the manager and I worked together to design all the elements and wording. So much fun to create and paint and see everyday!

Stuff the Bus Fundraiser 2021

Stuff the Bus was a raging success in June of 2020 Once again, Mainstreet Market & More Ltd. invited me to create this huge bus front to encourage passersby and shoppers to donate school supplies to the cause for struggling families. This was in partnership with another group called My City Care Okotoks. It was so successful, they had three major pick ups to do! Sandstone Lodge Cheer Up Christmas Mural

Sandstone Lodge Cheer Up Christmas Mural

Invited by a local realtor from CIR Realty, I was invited to create this comforting and cheerful mural of six windows for local long term residents home. Due to Covid-19 they were in a lockdown and I was granted entry the day after they reopened. Restrictions insisted I had 3.5 hours at each set of the three windows!!! I've never moved so fast in my life. Later, I found out that three other businesses donated to help pay for my time and materials. I love OKOTOKS!

The Very Covid Christmas Mural 2020

November 2020 The Very Covid Mural at my local Municipal Center. A truly massive undertaking that required a lot of planning, measuring, designing and creating. Luckily, I was fortunate to have many eager and skilled art students to help out! You can see the video of it taking place by clicking the link below...
