Upcycled Art Camp for TWEENS!

You know how kids can get really creative with the most unusual things around the house? Well, that's where the inspiration for this camp came from. That, and Earth Hour and Earth Day. The tweens of today are becoming hyper aware of how our species have affected the planet in both negative and positive ways and the creative ones are those that the rest of us will come to rely on in the coming decades. Therefore, the five lucky tweens who join this incredibly unique art camp will not only learn how to repurpose manmade materials into functional things as well as fascinating art forms, they will also learn how creative and critical thinking can help them better appreciate our home planet, while finding innovative ways to see how 'throwaway' items can have endless and truly amazing uses while saving money and expressing themselves extremely creatively. 

Your tween(s) will create between 6 - 8 projects during this week of art and creative problem solving! They will sculpt, draw, paint, construct, integrate sustainable ideas all while having a great time with like-minded individuals! 

Looking forward to working, chatting and creating with them this summer! Only five spots! Camp starts at 10:00 am - artists are welcome to pop in as early as 9:45. Camp ends at 4:00 pm. All artwork will go home when dry, set and ready. This could mean on their last day, so prepare to be wowed! 

Note: Tween artists are asked to bring along a water bottle, a snack and a lunch. Please avoid ordering delivered lunches as this interrupts the flow of the camp. They are welcome to use the Studio's amenities to heat up any foods they bring:) Additionally, dependent upon the weather, we may be spending much of our time outside and will likely go on a field trip - so running shoes are recommended. No flip flops or slide please.
