UPCYCLED PROPS!
Upcycling & Repurposing!
All of my materials come from donations from those who want to rehome things they don't feel attached to anymore, have no use for, or would likely just 'throw away'. I also find myself haunting our local recycling center for my supplies too!
2022- present
I started making my oversized art supply props as decorations for my Art Studio's Youth Makers Markets. I was so much fun, that I started to ask the students for new ideas for props! The first ones were my two acrylic paint tubes, oil pastels, chalk pastels, eraser, sharpener, pencil, paintbrush and palette... as time went on I began making some for kids to make too!
I LOVE making props for events! Using found materials such as cardboard from boxes, corrugated plastic from reclaimed realty signs, , duct tape, glues, spools from 3D filament, honeycomb cardboard and so, so much more.. Basically, I like to make new stuff by blending old stuff!
