Dragons & Mysticism Art Camp (ages 10 -13)

Why dragons and mysticism you ask? Dragons are creatures found across the globe in every single civilization. They inspire feelings of magic, wisdom, power and kindness. They can take so many forms, that there is really no wrong way to imagine or create them. They bring us all together, unifying our human need for understanding ourselves and the truly creative world around us. In this art camp, these art students will really start to delve deep into themselves in an inclusive, fun and creative way as they create art that expresses and celebrates their true nature. As mentioned above, they will create their masterpieces using a myriad of materials to make clay sculptures, watercolour envrionments, sewing, felting and crystals for jewelry, pastel drawing, printmaking patterns, splashy acrylic paintings and a whole bunch more! Each project leads into the next and they will host a mini outdoor exhibit at the end of their last day of camp. 

Houskeeping Guidelines: 

Students enter the Studio through the back gate and through the back door. The Studio is located inside Miss Robin's converted basement. Shoes reside on the footwear rack and nowhere else. Students are welcome to bring and leave indoor shoes for the week as the carpeted floor can still feel chilly:)

Start time: 10:00 am

Lunch time: 12:00 - 12:30 -- lunch is taken outside when weather permits:) Otherwise we sit around my upstairs dining room table. SIDE NOTE: Please pre-pack lunches so that we all can dine at the same time :) 

End time: 4:00 pm 

Friday, July 23rd: Outdoor Mini Exhibit 3:30 - 4:00. Please stay for the full half hour showing. Refreshments will be served:)
